CITY OF AMES STORM DAMAGE TREE BRANCHES - City of Ames is having a free service to pick up downed branches and limbs.  Branches and limbs should be cut into three-foot sections and placed in the public right of way (the area between the sidewalk and the curb).  Collection of the branches and limbs could take several weeks.

As an alternate, residents may use the drop-off site east of the City Cemetery on E13th St between 7am and 7pm seven days a week.

IMPORTANT INFO!! CHITTY Garbage Service will be closed Sunday, July 4th in observation of Independence Day - HOWEVER Monday July 5th we are open and are running NORMAL SCHEDULED SERVICE .. more info

1) CHITTY Recycling is here!  First pick up is July 8th!  Contact our office to sign up for our Single Stream Recycling.  The cost is $7.00 per month for this service.  At this time we are offering this service to Ames & Nevada residents.  Hope to expand this service to other cities in the future, please check back for future updates.

5)  Tell a Friend - word of mouth is what CHITTY Garbage excels for.  Refer a friend or neighbor to sign up with CHITTY Garbage and you will receive a $10.00 credit towards your account.  We require that the person signing up for service must tell us who referred them AT THE TIME THEY SIGN UP.
